MAP OF AREAS TO STAY IN PEREIRA

Downtown Pereira: This is where most of the commerce is located. If you didn't know, Pereira is considered a commercial city, so you'll find a great variety of clothing at very good prices 😉. In addition, downtown is home to Bolívar Park, El Lago Park, cathedrals, and libraries. But like any city center, when businesses close at night, the streets can be a bit empty.

  • Pink Zone of Pereira: The Pink Zone is located in an area called Circunvalar. Here you'll find several nightclubs, bars, and also the Falabella shopping center. It is a zone with security.

  • Residential Zone 1: It is a traditional neighborhood of Pereira called Pinares. It is considered one of the preferred neighborhoods to live in, as it is close to Circunvalar (Pink Zone). It has good security and, being residential, you won't find many nightclubs, so it will be very peaceful. Rents in this area are slightly more expensive than in other zones.

  • Residential Zone 2: This neighborhood is much closer to downtown. Walking, it won't take you more than 10 minutes. Here, rents will be a bit cheaper compared to the aforementioned neighborhood (Pinares). It is a preferred area for students or people who work near downtown.

  • Dosquebradas: This is a municipality very close to Pereira. You just have to cross the bridge that connects Pereira and Dosquebradas, which is called the viaduct. One thing to clarify is that during rush hour, the traffic to cross from Pereira to Dosquebradas can be somewhat chaotic. For this reason, we did not include lodgings in this area.
